The Waldinger Corporation Acquires Horton Electric Service Company in Springfield, Missouri

DES MOINES, Iowa (Aug. 24, 2023) -- The Waldinger Corporation is thrilled to announce it has acquired Horton Electric Service Company, a leading electrical service contractor in Springfield, Missouri. Founded in 2003 by Rich Horton, Horton Electric Service Company has grown to a team of 28 electricians specializing in commercial and industrial electrical service work for customers throughout southern Missouri.

The Horton team’s skill and expertise are an excellent complement to our existing commercial HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration service offerings in Springfield.” 

As part of the acquisition, Rich Horton will stay on as project manager and all current Horton Electric Service Company employees will remain with the company. The company will operate as a division of The Waldinger Corporation and continue to be known as Horton Electric Service Company.

In 2021, Waldinger acquired Connelly Plumbing and CMI Mechanical in Springfield. With the Horton Electric Service Company acquisition, Waldinger’s Springfield workforce is now more than 100 employees.
