The company I worked for (A’Hearn Plumbing and Heating) was acquired by The Waldinger Corporation in September of 2009. As with any acquisition, I had reservations about how the new company would deal with the existing employees and how the transition would proceed. My fears were short-lived. Key personnel from the corporate office were on hand to greet us and let us know not only who The Waldinger Corporation was, but also that they very much wanted us to be a part of the family. They put an emphasis on safety, continued improvement of processes and being ethical in every aspect of business. I was impressed with the vision of where the company was headed, the tools they were bringing to the table, and their financial stability.
I also noticed the longevity of the employees. It seemed as though everyone I met had been there a minimum of 20 years. To me, this said a lot about the company and how they treat their employees. I was excited to be part of this organization and looked forward to increased business.
It’s been many years now since the acquisition and I’m still excited to come to work. The Waldinger Corporation’s commitment to continuous improvement, safety, communications, employee recognition and most importantly, customer satisfaction, is unparalleled in the industry. It’s been a great ride. – Steve Walrath, Business Development
