ATN 5 & 6 Data Center

Waldinger’s mechanical and plumbing scope on this 993,170 square-foot facility (two data buildings with interconnecting office space) includes approximately 104 evaporative coolers, 104 DX condensing units, 724 dampers, 5,500 filters and over 1,700 fans. We designed the entire penthouse with eight built-up air handlers constructed of insulated metal panels to separate the different pieces of equipment totaling 2.5 million CFM and 12,000 tons of cooling for the data halls. The hydronic system serving the main data hall areas is made up of four large industrial water plants to serve process water to the penthouse evaporative coolers. We installed a series of 36 large indoor air handling units and dedicated industrial water plants to serve the core IT spaces of the building. This project took approximately 28 months to construct and consisted of peak Waldinger manpower around 100.
